Meet Bricks, a stunning 5-year-old black and tan Doberman with cropped ears, a docked tail, and a heart as big as his name.
Bricks came to DPRPA from Louisiana after being dropped off at a shelter with his buddy Diesel. Thanks to the wonderful folks at Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue, he made his way north to safety and care. No one knows why he was surrendered, but one thing is certain — this boy is a loving, loyal companion.
Bricks is gentle and loving with his people, but does need slow introductions to strangers and may be end up being people selective. He gets along well with his current foster sister, and a meet and greet will be required for any potential
adopters who have another dog in the home. He has been tested with cats and small animals and needs a home without either. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he would do best in a home with older children.
He is neutered, microchipped, fully up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready to join his forever family. He is currently being fostered in PA.

All dogs are in foster homes in various parts of central and eastern PA as well as central NJ. We do adopt dogs out of state as long as the potential adopter is willing to drive to where the dog is being fostered for a meet and greet and to take the dog home. We do not ship dogs and we do not have a central location.

DPR of PA, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Pam Taylor and incorporated under its present name in 1989. The organization consists of a network of foster homes around Harrisburg, Reading, and York, PA, as well as central NJ. Foster homes are always needed. If you can foster, please complete our application at https://www.dprpa.org/adopt-foster.
All Dobes that come into our rescue receive a full physical and behavioral exam and temperament evaluation which helps match them with the appropriate family. In addition, all dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccinations. We also serve as a resource to educate and assist Dober owners and are here to offer knowledgeable advice and answer questions if needed about your Dobe.
