Gravy is a 1.5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix weighing about 63 pounds, and now that he’s in a foster home, his true colors are shining brighter than ever. Spoiler alert: they’re delightful.
This big, happy guy is equal parts playful and easygoing. While he still enjoys zooming around the yard and playing with toys or a game of fetch, Gravy is also perfectly content hanging out inside with his people. Kids are his absolute favorite, and he’s wonderful with children of all ages. When the kids are home, you’ll often find Gravy parked right beside them on the couch, soaking up the family time.
Gravy is house trained and crate trained. He sleeps in his crate in another room and may whine briefly at first, but he settles quickly and does great. He knows how to sit, loves car rides, and happily rides in the back seat, ready for his next adventure.
He’s friendly, outgoing, and social with other dogs, big and small, and does a great job respecting their space if they’re not in the mood to play. He truly loves being around his people and will happily follow you from room to room. His favorite place, though, might just be outside. Gravy adores spending time in the yard and sometimes needs a little convincing that it’s time to come back inside.
Because he’s overly interested in cats, a cat-free home would be best for him. His dream home would include a backyard, a family with kids or grandkids to love on him, and maybe even a canine sibling to play with.
Gravy is a big teddy bear with a joyful heart and so much love to give. He would make an amazing family dog and a loyal, fun-loving companion. His minimum adoption fee is $300, plus a $15 rabies registration fee for McLean County residents (if 4 months or older).
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
