My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Willow!
Willow is a stunning almost-3-year-old pup with a heart that could fill an entire room. If you're
looking for a dog who greets you like you're the best thing to ever happen to her... congratulations, you've found her. Her tail wags like it’s powered by joy itself, and her excited little wiggles practically scream, "YOU'RE HOME!! BEST. DAY. EVER."

All About Willow’s Vibe:
Willow loves people—kids, adults, the whole gang. She's housebroken, crate-trained, and incredibly polite, but her favorite place will always be right by your side. Snuggled up next to you? Perfect. Snoozing on her bed while keeping an eye on you? Even better. Willow is calm, gentle, and loyal, with just the right amount of quiet curiosity to keep things interesting.

Her soft side shines too: Willow’s spent time with a senior adult with special needs, offering the
sweetest, most calming companionship. She has a sixth sense for when someone needs a little
extra TLC.

Things Willow Thinks Are Awesome
Walks: Every walk is an adventure.
Playtime: Toys? Yes. Games? Absolutely. Being goofy with her humans? Her specialty.
Naps: Cozy spots only, please. The softer, the better.
Cuddles: Belly rubs turn her into a puddle of happiness.
Snacks: Treats are life. She will ask nicely.
Zoomies: When Willow gets the zoomies? Watch out! She’s ready to race around the yard like she’s in the Olympics. A spacious yard or place to run is definitely on her wish list. She’s got energy to burn and loves a good sprint!

Willow + Other Animals:
Willow is friendly and curious with both dogs and cats! She loves the idea of canine buddies but
appreciates slow, gentle introductions to make sure she feels comfortable. With a little patience
and time, she’ll make some pawsome friends.

Training & Confidence Level: Rising Star:
Willow is a quick learner who wants to make you proud. She’s already doing great with house
and crate manners, and she’s working on her leash skills—sometimes she gets so excited, she
wants to lead the way, but “stop-and-go” training and treats are helping her get the hang of
walking at a more leisurely pace.

She can be a little nervous around moving objects—cars, bikes, skateboards—but with patience, treats, and gentle exposure, she’s getting braver every day. And when it comes to car rides, she’s already a pro!

Why You’ll Love Her:
Willow is joyful, playful, affectionate, and a little bit silly. She's got all the love to give and a big
heart that’s ready to find her forever family.
If you’re looking for a sweet companion who loves cuddles, zoomies, and every moment
spent with you, Willow is ready to race her way into your heart.

Willow is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Additional adoption info

Adopting from The Love Pit means gaining a family member. It means gaining a network of pit bull advocates, ready to support you and provide you with all of the resources we can. Most importantly, adopting from The Love Pit saves lives. When you adopt, you're saving the life of your own dog, opening space in their foster home for another shelter dog in need, and creating space in the shelter kennel for a dog whose life would have otherwise been on the line. Your thanks for all the good you've done? Lots of love and pit bull kisses to enjoy for years to come.

Go meet their pets

We have monthly adoption events at different locations in Dallas and Fort Worth which are announced on our social media pages and will also be posted on our website.

We will also set up an appointment with you to meet the dog of your choosing.
