Matheus arrived at the shelter with his sister, Nina, after their family had to move out of the country and couldn’t take them along. At just over 2 years old, this handsome boy is also adjusting to a world that suddenly feels very different. Though he’s trying to stay brave, it’s clear he’s wondering where his familiar routines—and the people he loved—have gone.
Matheus is a gentle soul with a calm, thoughtful presence. While he may take a moment to size up new visitors, he warms quickly, especially when he realizes someone has come to offer kindness. Once he trusts you, he leans in for attention, grateful for every pet and soft word. There’s a quiet sweetness about him that makes you feel like he’s letting you into his small circle of comfort.
Matheus could truly flourish in a home that can offer him patience, reassurance, and love. With the right family, this sensitive boy will blossom into a devoted, affectionate companion.
Matheus is ready for a new beginning—and he hopes it’s with someone who sees the gentle heart behind his shy eyes.
Adoption hours 7 days a week from 12pm to 430pm at 2960 Shafto Road Tinton Falls.
