My name is Macaroon!

History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!

A Note from the Foster: Hi there! My name is Macaroon, aka Mac, and I’m sweeter than any dessert you’ve ever had!

I’m new here - I came from chilly North Dakota and am now learning how to “dog” in Minnesota. It’s been quite the journey, and I’m still getting the hang of this whole “inside” thing. Thankfully, I’ve got a great foster family who is showing me the magic of beds, treats, and snuggles. I’ve officially decided snuggles are my favorite. My forever family will have to continue helping me learn the ropes when it comes to being a pampered pet, but don’t worry, I’m loving it already. My foster papa is my favorite person and I stay glued to their side whenever I can. They have to be careful not to trip on me since I won’t leave their side!

I’m very curious about my foster siblings. Most of the time, we are a great pack. I’m not used to having my own food and shelter though, so I’m still learning how to share with them. I would benefit from having doggy siblings who are patient with me and are okay with going slow when we meet! My foster family doesn’t have any little humans, but they think I’d be great with kids as I’m such a gentle giant.

My crate is my safe space and I love to cuddle with my blankies, but sometimes it takes a little bribery to get me in there when it’s not my idea. My foster parents say I’m doing great with leash training - my favorite part about walks is picking the route we go! I’m not sure why my foster mama wants me to go her way and not mine, so sometimes I halt our walks to show her the best direction.

I’m a big couch potato, give the BEST hugs and I can’t wait to find my forever snuggle buddies!
