My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🚨 COLT — URGENT 🚨

Embedded Collar Wounds • Gentian Violet Treatment Visible • Dog-Friendly • Calm • Walks Great on Leash

Colt came into our shelter as a stray, and what we found broke our hearts. He has embedded collar wounds, meaning at some point a too-tight collar cut deeply into his skin. Someone attempted to treat the wounds themselves with Gentian Violet, a purple antiseptic still visible around his neck.

Despite what he has endured, Colt is an incredibly calm, sweet, gentle boy. He walks beautifully on leash, is fantastic with other dogs, and carries a soft, soulful energy that melts you the moment he looks your way with those stunning blue eyes.

This boy deserved love and care — instead, he got pain and neglect. Now he needs a hero.

🆘 Dogs with embedded collar injuries cannot wait to get out the dirty shelter is no place to heal. They are painful, vulnerable, and decline quickly in shelters.

Colt needs TLC, comfort, and a safe place to heal.

If you can HELP this beautiful boy, please step up now. Colt has suffered enough — he deserves his second chance.
