My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tazzy, a resilient and loving 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a heart as big as her journey. This sweet girl was rescued from a rural Texas shelter where she was at risk of euthanasia simply because there wasn’t enough space. Despite what she’s been through, Tazzy is blossoming into a loyal, affectionate companion who’s ready for her forever home.

Tazzy is the perfect blend of playful and cuddly. She adores her stuffies, loves a good game of fetch, and will happily curl up next to you when it’s time to relax. Once she trusts you, she’s a total snuggle buddy who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She also gets along wonderfully with small dogs in her foster home.

Tazzy can live with children, but she needs a slow and gentle introduction, especially with younger kiddos. It took her a few days to settle in around her foster family’s 5-year-old, but once she felt safe, she relaxed beautifully.

Given her past, slow introductions and patience help Tazzy feel secure. Once she knows she’s safe, her sweet, goofy personality really shines. Tazzy would thrive with a family who understands that building trust takes time—but the reward is enormous. She’s ready to give her whole heart to the person or family who shows her patience, love, and a soft place to land.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a playful spirit and a survivor’s heart, Tazzy may just be your perfect match. 💕
