My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Disclaimer: This animal is not in Anderson custody. and is a courtesy post to help a member of the community rehome directly without shelter intervention. Any adoption inquiries should be directed to the owner at sealek0315@gmail.com and/or (224) 308-4545. Meet Falene and Fritz, a bonded pair of four-year-old cats looking for their forever home together. These two balance each other perfectly and bring out the best in one another.

Falene is a long-haired sweetheart who may take a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she’s incredibly affectionate. She loves being close to her person, soaking up pets, and will even offer her belly for rubs when she feels safe. She enjoys curling up on laps, carrying her mouse toys around, sunbathing, and watching the world outside. Her meows are usually soft, but she’ll speak up when she wants something.

Fritz, her medium-haired companion, has a more independent vibe but genuinely loves being around people. He’ll greet you at the door, soak up chin scratches, and show off his playful side with toy wands, springs, and just about anything he can chase. He’s not very vocal—until it’s time to eat. Then he’ll definitely make himself heard.

Falene and Fritz are deeply bonded and must stay together. They offer a perfect mix of sweetness, playfulness, and companionship. If you’re looking to welcome two loving cats into your home, this duo will fill it with warmth and personality.

More about this shelter

A one-of-a-kind animal welfare organization, Anderson Humane focuses on creating and supporting mutually beneficial relationships between people and animals. Current programming such as our Adoption Program, Military Veterans’ Program, and Healing Paws Pet Therapy Program create positive, impactful connections between people and animals, improving the lives of both. Future programs will be offered in partnership with human-service organizations throughout our community, maximizing impact and changing lives for the better.

Anderson Humane is a resource for pet owners, providing information and services to provide better care for their pets. Services such as our Low-Cost Vaccination, Dental, and Spay/Neuter Clinics offer affordable veterinary care options, preventing owners from having to give up their pets simply because they can’t afford care. On the horizon are additional programs to keep pets in homes, such as a pet food pantry, affordable pet training options, and temporary housing for pets when families are in crisis.
