Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Pepper
Pepper is a beautiful all-black cat with a quiet, watchful presence and a touch of mystery. She can be shy at first, but with patience and gentle care, she blossoms into a loyal and quietly loving companion.
Pepper has lived a “free” life and would be happiest as a barn cat in a farm or barnyard setting. She’s a true bush kitty at heart—content to find cozy hiding spots, observe her surroundings, and settle into a routine where she feels safe and secure. A property with shelter, safe places to tuck away, and kind humans who respect her independence would be her ideal home.
Once she feels comfortable, Pepper shows her appreciation through soft purrs, calm companionship, and a special bond that comes from earning her trust. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, observant barn cat who will happily listen as you talk about your day while she keeps watch nearby, Pepper may be the perfect addition to your farm family. 🐾🌾
Pepper is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccinations. You can meet her at CASPCA between the hours of 12PM and 6PM daily, no appointment necessary. For more information, please email adoptions@caspca.org.

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
