The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care.

Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.

However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion.

We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs.

Please do not waste your time or ours if you are not prepared to adopt within 2 weeks and you are not willing to pick the dog up at its location.

Hi! My name is Mallory, and I am a little Maltese girl who was born 9/7/20, and I weigh 11 pounds. I was adopted 4 years ago by a wonderful lady who loved me with all her heart. Unfortunately, she has become very ill and can’t take care of me anymore so she returned me to BRAS so they can find me the perfect home. I am a total lap dog but am overweight so I would benefit from exercise. I am the very sweetest dog and would be perfect in a home where I would be the center of my new parent’s world.

If you have been waiting for a sweet little Maltese girl, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org.

Love, Mallory 121821-06

More about this rescue

We are a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from breeding facilities who are no longer useful or puppies who cannot be sold and dogs from euthanasia lists from selected shelters. We occasionally can take an owner surrender if space allows.

All donations go toward the rescue of these very at risk dogs and are greatly appreciated.
