Meet Billy, a delightful canine companion awaiting a loving home. Billy`s personality is a perfect blend of playfulness, friendliness, and affection. He`s energetic, always ready for a game, but also loves cuddling up and receiving belly rubs after a fun day. He weighs 63 pounds and likes agility, car rides, fetch, running, tugging, toys, walks and water. Billy is house trained, well-behaved in the home, and obedient, making him a joy to have around. However, a recent adopter said he`s jumpy, begs, and races out the door but he didn`t get a chance to settle into his new home because they couldn`t afford his care and returned him after a week. He is still perfecting his leash walking skills but won`t run away while off leash. He knows the sit, no, and shake commands. He`s shy but also protective, showing a deep loyalty and affection to those he trusts. While he`s friendly and playful with dogs he is also dominant and rough. You should consider bringing your dog to meet him. He absolutely won`t live with a cat. He has been easygoing, playful, and friendly with children. CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.
