Adopter/Foster Bio “Sturgill is a 7 month old Super Mutt/Cattle dog mix. He is truly a good boy and is very sweet with our family (mom, dad, son 11yrs, and daughter 9yrs). He is potty trained and crate trained, does not jump on furniture, loves playing with toys, tug of war especially and a good hoof for chewing. Sturgill loves some good scratches and is a cuddly guy, always wanting to be near someone. Sturgill seems to be leash reactive with other dogs and will need more training or a more experienced adopter to help with this. He does well at doggie daycare and plays well with other dogs off leash. He has shown some improvement with his behaviors and we are continue to train him while he is with us. *We do plan on having him neutered beginning of December.”
Sturgill is absolutely stunning his blue/tan coat has black specs and highlights as does his mask. He’s quiet he’s not bossy not a barker comes when Called follows the pack. He seems like a very easy puppy. That would be great for any family. He’s sweet. He doesn’t mess with the other dogs or cause problems. He’s a lover learning to do his business outdoors and never an issue. He’s a pleasure to have looking for a sweet easy to care for baby to call your own? Sturgill is the man for you. He’s always there ready to listen with his adorable face and his striking color combo.

We are a 501c3 non profit rescue.

All of our dogs have age-appropriate vaccinations, if over 6 months old are spayed or neutered, if under 6 months adopter is responsible for having that done between 6 and 10 months of age (we can offer some low cost options for you), microchipped with lifetime free membership, dewormed and will go home with a 3 to 5 day dewormer as well. Any medical conditions known are disclosed to the best of our ability.
Adults are heartworm tested and status is disclosed. Please don't let HW positive dogs deter you. Please ask us and we will gladly explain the slow kill process!
If you are out of state or out of area that is not a problem, we do offer relay transport for a small additional fee to cover health certificates required for private interstate travel and additional vetting required.
We run solely on donations and house 100 plus dogs and 10 plus horses at any given time. Please be patient but if you do not hear from us within 48 hours of submitting your application please reach out. We are human and we do get very busy sometimes. Our email is Sgequinerescue@gmail.com you can email when you put your app in or wait the 48 hours. Just know some dogs have a lot of apps so the sooner the better in those cases.
Adoption fees range from $150 to $400
We do not offer discounts of any kind. Adoption fees are set fees and not negotiable. These fees help with vetting on current and future animals we take in.
We do not offer walk through "choose a dog/puppy" type experience. We are partially foster-based, we can help with matching dogs if you have something you have in mind so feel free to call us. You can meet before adoption but that is ONLY done with approved applicants.
Thank you for considering giving a rescue dog a chance. You don't just save one life, you save 2!
