My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Katherine, a wonderfully sweet girl with a gentle soul and a heart full of love.

Katherine may be a little shy at first, but give her a moment—and a slow, reassuring approach—and she’ll melt right into your hand. Once she knows she’s safe, her affectionate side comes shining through.

Her absolute favorite thing in the world? Butt scratches. She adores them so much that she’ll practically fall over herself trying to get more and more. It’s impossible not to smile when she’s happily leaning in for attention.

Katherine is looking for a patient, loving home where she can blossom and share her sweet, tender personality. If you’re ready to win the heart of a gentle girl who simply wants love, Katherine can’t wait to meet you.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
