Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! I'm Lamar. Though my name's origin is French/Spanish meaning "of the sea," I am part Patterdale Terrier (English) and Pug (China).
I'm a quiet, mature 16-year-old male whose good looks and bashful personality will win you over.
Being 16 years old, my hearing and sight aren't what they used to be though I can still spot a squirrel in hopes of a chase.
I take daily vitamins to support my old joints, but other than that I am quite healthy. I am house broken, an accomplished walker and a professional napper.
I will require a very patient individual who allows me to do things on my time. I am very shy of strangers at first, but once I warm up to you I can be very loving.
I prefer a quiet home, probably best without any young children. Other dogs are okay if they are not too bouncy, I'm just not up for much rough-housing any more!
If you would like to meet me, please fill out an adoption application for me.

Please check out our available pets and contact us to let us know which one(s) interest you. We'll arrange a site visit to your home and a meet-and-greet with your prospective pet once we have had a phone chat to determine if our rescue pet is a good fit for you and you for him/her. If you and the pet decide it's true love, we'll have you fill out an adoption contract and ask for an adoption donation (rather than a fee) of $100 per cat and $200 per dog. A certificate of adoption is mailed to you once the process is complete.
