My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A5735039 Niu Niu is a 2-year-old, 29 lb neutered male Welsh Corgi mix with a handsome black and brown coat. Surrendered by his owner on October 25, 2025, this sweet little guy has found shelter life confusing and scary, but once he feels safe, his affectionate personality starts to shine through. He’s calm, gentle, and happiest when he’s getting belly rubs or sitting quietly by your side.

Niu Niu walks nicely on leash, is easy to handle, and shows signs of being housebroken. Though initially shy and unsure, he warms up with patience and love. His energy level is low to medium — perfect for someone looking for a quiet, steady companion rather than a high-energy pup. Niu Niu is a kindhearted, sensitive boy who just needs a patient home willing to give him the reassurance and affection he deserves.

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
