Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cinnamon and Spice were originally rescued as kittens by a loving woman who unfortunately passed away, which is why they ended up in the care of Forsyth Humane Society.
Upon intake, the brothers were shut down and sad at our Adoption Center. We placed them in foster care so they could decompress in a quiet environment, and the pair have blossomed. While they initially hid in a spare bedroom, they never hissed or swatted, and with patience, the brothers are now confidently themselves. They fill their days with sunbathing, birdwatching and grooming in the morning and chin scratches, catnip toys and playing “chase my brother” in the evenings. They’ve made friends with the foster’s resident cats and we feel they’d adapt well with a cat-friendly dog.
We’ve officially “bonded” this pair, which means we’ll require them to be adopted together. When Cinnamon, who is more inquisitive and independent, wanders off to explore, Spice will start “howling” if he can’t find him. Cinnamon quickly runs back to assure his brother he hasn’t left him, and Spice is then at ease. It’s this special bond we feel their Furever Family will love and cherish witnessing.
In foster care, Cinnamon accepts pets for just as long as he wants them, then moves on to more important matters, like batting at the unattended shoelace. You can scoop him up for a moment before he gets squirmy. Spice, on the other hand, loves affection! Loud and proud purrs fill the room when he is scratched on his chin and behind his ears. He’s not a fan of being picked up, but WILL allow you to place him on your lap, where he melts into a snuggle puddle.
With patience, steady progress in foster care happened in just a short time. We are eager to find the person or family who feels this handsome pair is who they’ve been waiting for! Their adopter will just need to pay one adoption fee of $125 for both cats.
