Tuxley has been in rescue for a month now and he has come a long way! Right after he arrived, Tuxley spent the weekend at the beach with a temporary foster. He then visited our rescue vet and was neutered and brought up to date. Tuxley needed a dental and it turned out to be a very complicated procedure because a cyst had been left untreated and multiple teeth had to be removed. It is sad to think of how long this boy must have been in considerable pain. Now that he has healed, you can really tell how much better Tuxley feels. His foster mom reports that Tuxley loves being outside and going for walks. He has gone to the dog park and Tuxley enjoys playing with a variety of dogs. People always comment on how well behaved he is out in public. Tuxley is truly a sweetheart and a moderately active gentleman. He will be visiting our vet again soon to finish up his dental procedure, and then Tuxley will be ready for his forever home.

Meet Tuxley! He arrived at the shelter in Baltimore as a stray. The shelter reported that he was a distinguished gentleman there. He did great with his dog friends in the play yard. Tuxley knows “sit” and walks wonderful on leash. He is a very sweet boy and if you sit down next to him, he immediately moves in close for some hugs and pets. The shelter indicated that Tuxley was getting very stressed in the kennel. Thanks to the quick actions of several volunteers, Tuxley was able to leave the shelter and get transported to his new foster home in Virginia. His foster mom reports that he has been a great boy! Tuxley walks well on leash and is still very active. He loves toys and has been very well mannered in the home. Tuxley will be scheduled soon for his neuter and a dental, and then he will be ready for his forever home.
