My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please consider sponsoring a cat. For a little as $10 a month you can help us help more animals in need.

Hi there! I’m Missy. I’m a young, medium-haired torti Maine Coon mix with a heart full of hope and a story to tell. Life hasn’t always been easy. I was abandoned by my previous owner. But thanks to my wonderful foster pawrent, I’ve learned how to trust and love again. Now I dream of a warm, safe place to call home furever. I’m also learning how to play and love treats. I’m discovering how fun toys and snuggles can be. I get along with other cats, but my favorite thing in the world would be curling up in your arms and purring softly as we share a quiet moment together. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a playful spirit and a whole lot of love to give, I might just be your purrfect match. Will you be my furever person?

Missy’s adoption fee is $150. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained.

Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online Cat Adoption Application on our website aaFlorida.org/adopt.  There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register.  For more information about this kitty or any others, you can contact us at Adoptions@aaFlorida.org.  We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any cat.  Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our fabulous felines.

Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

More about this rescue

We are an all volunteer organization saving lives in the Florida Panhandle through adoption, spay/neuter and TNR of community cats.

We are always in need of foster homes and volunteers. If you find a kitty or dog and are willing to foster it - we can help you find it a furever home. Can't foster or adopt right now, help socialize kittens. The more people the kittens are exposed to the better is for them. We can always use volunteers. Work from home, work directly with animals, or work non-directly with animals helping us raise money or distributing fliers.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE spay or neuter your pets! Escambia County pound puts down over 1,000 animals a month! Through spay/neuter we can reduce that number.
