Hello everyone! My name is Fisher and don't let my age confuse you, I'm still the bounciest and happiest guy around! I haven't been here long and I know I won't be here much longer, I'm just waiting for my next family to come and take me home to some toys and cuddling. It's getting colder and I'd love nothing more than to sit and get pets while we warm ourselves back up for our next adventure. I like to tuck myself into my blankets while I wait, really cute I know. I can be a little timid at first but give me some time and some treats and I'll be yours forever. Come visit me at Woods Humane SLO anytime between 12-4, I promise it'll be worth it. If you stop by my kennel you might just see a bunch of blankets, wake me up and I'll come out of my burrow in no time. See you later!

Woods Humane Society, Inc. is a nonprofit, privately funded organization dedicated to the humane care of unwanted animals in San Luis Obispo County. Our Staff, volunteers, and board of directors are dedicated to upholding our Mission and preserving the welfare of our present and future animals.
While we cooperate with the State Humane Association of California, the American Humane Association, and The Humane Society of the United States, Woods does not receive financial support from them. Only 20% of our revenues to care for the animals are generated by service fees, the other 80% is generated from fund-raising events, grants, wills, and mainly community donations.
Woods Humane Society is proud to be a leader among the nation’s humane organizations. Thanks to loyal and broad-based community support, and the diligent efforts of our dedicated staff and volunteers, Woods placement rate averages 98%, an outstanding achievement.
None of this work could be completed without the incredible support of our community and our wonderful volunteers.
