Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.
Meet Rusty! Rusty is approximately 5 months old, 25 lbs currently and he is an adorable mixed breed dog! In his foster home, he is doing great with his house training, crate training but has no experience with leash walking. He could go to a home with dog-savvy kids, cats and other dogs.
His foster says, `Rusty is going to fit into any house dynamic situation he is put into. He is still a puppy and requires being watched and is learning what is and is not ok to chew on. Rusty would love a house with other playful dogs, kids, and humans that want to go places do things. Would make a fantastic hiking/jogging buddy. He is SUPER smart. Eager to learn. Knows to sit before even being told. Learning down and shake. Takes his good boy treats gently. All your fingers stay in tact! Very inquisitive, and wants to know what everyone is doing and if he can help. Careful, he likes helping with the laundry including getting it out of the dryer! (take note of that) He really does not get up on the furniture, or the bed. Sleeps on the floor/dog beds/blankies. He has not had one accident in the house since I have had him! He does out on a regular basis with the other dogs and any other time offered to go out. Rusty LOVES to just curl up at your feet. Even if youre cooking or doing dishes. If you hold still too long you will have a good little foot warmer suddenly passed out at your feet If you have cats, that is ok too. He pretty much ignores mine. Grumpy seniors?? Those are ok too. He takes their attitudes like a champ.`
He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on December 5th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.
-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
