What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Archie is a very sweet, smart and playful dog that loves snuggles. He will play tug, hide and seek, and loves learning new tricks. He loves laying on his back, being pet and meeting new people. He knows many commands and tricks like sit, stay, wait, outside, potty, down, sploot, come, enough, okay, crate and out. He loves sleeping in his crate, which we would provide along with a bag of food, remainder of his medications, favorite toys, lick mats, leash, and collar.
In a few instances, he has bitten when trying to get things away from him. He’s also not great around other dogs. He is on two medications that he takes daily to temper his aggression. It’s pretty easy to read his body language to get a sense if he will act aggressive and you can usually redirect his attention in order to prevent it. There hasn’t been an incident in over 6 months.
We are very sad to need to rehome him at this time but we are hopeful at the prospect of a better environment for him.
