Candy and Mango were both abandoned in a park in Miami at separate times. Mango overcame his fear and has become a very calm and relaxed cat that loves to sit with his people and greet you at the door like an old friend. Mango watches over Candy and they have formed a special bond. It will take Candy a slow approach until she learns that she can trust you. With some crunchie treats she will become your best friend and follow you around. In her foster home Candy would sit next to her foster, enjoying head scratches and purring so loudly.
Cats can live up to 20 years, you need to consider this when adopting and choosing the age of the cat you wish to adopt to give them a lifelong, stable home as you are making a commitment for the lifetime of the animal.

The Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) was formed in 1992 with the goal of rescuing 50 stray and unwanted animals in the Salem, NH area. During that year, SARL rescued a total of 157 animals, affirming the need for an alternative to traditional municipal animal control. SARL's history is one of community interaction with police, town government and the people of the community. Today, the Salem Animal Rescue League rescues and adopts close to 800 dogs and cats per year.
