Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BIG NEWS: Keysha’s adoption fee has been fully covered by William and Josephine Swanson of Pine River! All the expenses have been paid, all she needs now is the right family!
Keysha is a lovely 8-year-old, 80-pound German Shepherd mix. She is a relaxed, friendly girl who just wants to be by your side. Whether you`re practicing her tricks (she’s an expert at Sit, Down, and Paw!) or heading out for a car ride, she’s just happy to be with her people.
Keysha is fully house-trained and kennel-trained, though she does have some separation anxiety and prefers a home where she won`t be alone for long stretches. She’s looking for a home with no cats and no kids under 10 years old. She can be a little picky with other dogs, but has some friends here at the shelter! If you have a dog at home, we would require a meet and greet to make sure they`d get along well.

We strive to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.
The Babinski Foundation is a private 501c3 animal shelter located in Pequot Lakes, MN. We are a safe place to surrender dogs and cats. We also are a stray drop-off facility for stray cats and dogs.
OUR STORY
The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald and Elizabeth Babinski owners and founders of Babinski Properties which owns multifamily housing in Minnesota, Florida and South Dakota. He and his wife Elizabeth were working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was their dream, but Donald Babinski passed away August 11th, 2014 before the shelter could open. Elizabeth continued where they left off and the Foundation opened in January 2016 in Pequot Lakes, MN. Elizabeth passed away on November 13th, 2020. Donald and Elizabeth’s dream was finally realized, and Donald and Elizabeth’s surviving family and friends will continue to work hard to fulfill their mission.
