What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Scarlett is a beautiful 6-year-old German Shepherd with a sweet soul and a youthful, puppy-like energy. At about 70 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of sturdy and snuggly, and she absolutely lights up when she’s around people. She’s also a fantastic car buddy—Scarlett loves car rides and will happily put her head out the window to feel the breeze.
After the recent passing of her owner, Scarlett’s world changed quickly, and she’s been working hard to adjust. She’s fully house trained and is currently brushing up on her crate training while she settles into a new routine. She would thrive with someone who can offer patience, consistency, and a calm environment as she rebuilds her sense of security.
Scarlett is best suited as the only dog in the home, as she hasn’t had much socialization and can be unsure around other animals. She hasn’t been around children enough for us to know how she would do, so an adults-only household may be the most comfortable match for her right now.
