My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mulligan’s DNA Said he’s 1/4 Leopard Hound, 1/4 Beagle, 1/4 Boston Terrier and 1/4 Pyrenees. He’s fully grown and petite at just 35 lbs. He has had some rough experiences, and you can see it in the way he flinches and stays on edge. His fight-or-flight is always on — not because he’s aggressive, but because he’s scared. He has never shown aggression, but he cannot be in a home with kids because fast movements and loud noises overwhelm him.

Once he decides you’re safe, he follows you everywhere and doesn’t like for you to leave his sight.
He snuggles beside you at night. And he becomes incredibly sweet and loyal.

What he does well:
• Loves other dogs (they boost his confidence)
• House trained
• Good in public with a dog buddy
• Cuddles once he bonds
• Sticks close to his person

What he’s still learning:
• Trusting new people
• Commands
• Harness walking
• Building confidence
• Crates — he will go in a crate, but he has confinement anxiety and barks

Mulligan needs a quiet, patient home with at least one confident dog. He’s not the instant-easy type, but once he trusts you, he loves deeply.

If you’re someone who understands trauma dogs and wants a loyal companion who just needs time, message us to meet Mulligan. 🖤
