Petra is a shy, sensitive girl who often prefers the company of other kitties—but she still enjoys gentle affection from people she trusts. She startles easily and tends to be cautious, so she would thrive in a calm, low-energy home, ideally with her brother Pollux by her side.
Petra was rescued as a young kitten from the shoulder of a road along with her parents and siblings. Since then, she has blossomed into a sweet, quiet kitty who loves cozy naps, soft snuggles, and playful moments in a safe environment. With patience and a peaceful home, Petra will show her soft and loving side.

Adoption Fees:
• $100 for adults (12+ months)
• $125 for kittens (under 12 months)
All cats adopted through Silverton Cat Rescue come spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and given age-appropriate vaccines.
We are not first-come, first-served. Our goal is to match each kitty with the purrfect home.
Silverton Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, run entirely by volunteers. All of our cats live in foster homes. Please be patient as we coordinate with fosters to set up meet-and-greets.
Why Most of Our Kittens Are Adopted in Pairs
Kittens are highly social and thrive with a feline friend. A companion supports their emotional and behavioral development, teaches them healthy play, and reduces stress. Experts recommend adopting two kittens together, or adopting a single kitten only if you already have a young, playful cat at home.
Surprisingly, two kittens are often half the work of one—they keep each other entertained, supported, and well-socialized.
Adoption Requirements
To ensure safe and compatible placements, we require:
• A completed adoption application
• A home visit
