My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruce is being fostered in Pewaukee WI

Meet Bruce!  Are you looking for a walking buddy????? Bruce is your guy!

This GORGEOUS hunk is a love bug to the T!  Bruce is a 68lb blue merle standard male Australian Shepherd. His date of birth is 12/1/2017. At just 8 years old, this fluffer butt would love to have a home as the only dog. While he gets along with other dogs, he doesn't like to share his things with other dogs. This boy is a little fluffier than he should be and could lose about 10lbs. to be at his ideal weight.

He LOVES humans of all ages, sizes and colors. Bruce is house trained, crate trained and a total velcro boy!  He is lower on the energy scale and would love a human sidekick!  He loves leaurely walks in the woods, the neighborhood, doesn't matter where, he loves a good stroll to sniff and stop smell the roses :P He is great on leash and good in the car too!

While he doesn't currently have a fenced yard, if he was living in a busy neighborhood, we would recommend one because he loves to chase the squirells and birds. We recommend NO cats in his forever home. He would LOVE to be the center of attention! Because of his size, we also recommend kids over 8 for this boy.

Bruce is up to date on all vaccinations, negative for heartworm, neutered, microchipped and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.

Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
