Meet the Pet

My name is Rollo. I have never had a name before. I think I have always been on my own. I have walked the neighborhood where I was rescued for as long as I can remember. I have been told I am about 1 and a half years old. I found some humans that were very loving and patient with me. They were always out there when I came to visit, and I decided after about two months, that I could trust them. I don’t ever remember being showed any love. Over two months, I came and visited these humans twice a day and they were always waiting. I decided they were special and that I would let them into my little world. I found out what it’s like to be petted and to trust. I have found that I really like to be petted and have felt safe enough to lay on my side and show these humans my belly so they could scratch it. I’d like to give head butts to them and walk between their legs and rub up against them. I have to admit, I’m a little shy, since I’ve not been around many humans. I like for now, a quiet, calm environment. I would love to find a loving home where I will be loved and cared for well. I am such a good boy and just want to please. I use my litter box and I have never felt the need to bite or scratch anyone. I have decided I do not want to live on my own in the outside world. The humans that found me have four other kitties, but they do not like me. I think they have forgotten that they were rescued also..that they have walked the same path. Foster mom rescued him as a neighborhood cat. Rollo has been neutered, rabies vaccine and FVRCP vaccine. Tested for feline leukemia, FIV and heartworm. All negative. Vet says he is 1-2 years old. When he started showing up at foster family's house, they could not touch him, but now, although, very shy, he head butts and rolls over to have his belly scratched. Uses the litter box. He would need a quiet environment. Foster thinks he has been mistreated in the past. Even when he first started coming around, he has never been aggressive or tried to bite or scratch.
