My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This rabbit is not currently eligible for bonding or adoption events. This rabbit is currently only available through our foster-to-adopt program. Adoptions cannot be finalized until rabbit has been spayed/neutered and received their RHDV2 vaccinations.

Meet Orion – or “O” if you’re part of his inner circle! He is a small rabbit and is quite the charmer! He has a beautiful black-and-white coat and incredible mismatched eyes. One is bright blue, and the other is a mix of brown and blue that looks almost galaxy-like, which suits his name perfectly.

Fun Facts About Orion: Orion does excited little hops whenever he’s happy. Bunny-safe treats are his absolute favorite thing - hen he’s in the mood, if you say “up” and tap your pointer finger and thumb above him, he’ll stand upright and expect his treat.. He loves being pet and will gently nudge at your hand if you stop before he's decided he's had enough. He has a calm, sweet personality that makes him easy to fall in love with.  If you add anything new to his enclosure, he’ll pick it up and toss it around to “inspect” it.

Orion is hoping for a loving home where he can explore safely, enjoy his treats, and receive lots of attention. He enjoys being part of everyday life and likes having people around who will give him gentle interaction and affection. If you are looking for a charming, unique bunny who will brighten your home with his personality and his beautiful galaxy eyes, Orion might be the perfect match for you.

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
