My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments.

Meet Taffy, your new best friend! On a rainy morning in October, Taffy was found in a neighborhood, dressed in a striped sweater and looking for comfort. This very young bundle of joy is filled with energy and excitement, ready to bring laughter and happiness into your life.

Taffy absolutely adores making new friends—her playful spirit and curiosity mean she's always up for an adventure. Whether she's cuddling up with her foster family every evening or greeting new faces with enthusiasm, Taffy quickly wins the hearts of everyone she meets. She does wonderfully with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another young companion to play with. If you have dog-savvy cats, Taffy is a good match as long as your cat is patient with her playful nudges.

What you’ll love about Taffy:
- Young, energetic, and affectionate
- Gets along well with other dogs and dog-savvy cats
- Enjoys playing fetch with you and can also entertain herself
- Loves food and is easy to train with treats
- Walks well on a leash and excited to become your walking or hiking buddy
- Her favorite spot is snuggled on the back of your chair, nestled in your neck

Taffy is very loving and easy to fall in love with. Her foster family delights in her habit of curling up close for warmth and comfort, making each evening a special time together. She’s vocal when she’s waiting for her meals, expressing herself with high-pitched squeals, but she settles down quickly and enjoys watching out the windows or finding toys to play with.

Whether you have children or other pets, Taffy's playful nature makes her a wonderful addition to many homes. She is eager to share her boundless affection and create lasting memories with a family who appreciates her spirited personality.

If you’re looking for a lively, loving companion, Taffy is ready to bring joy and laughter to your home. We hope you'll come meet Taffy soon and discover the happiness she’s waiting to share!

Because our dogs are in foster homes, applications are required prior to setting up any appointments. Calling or emailing may delay your consideration. Find our application on our website, almosthomedogs.org.

Adoption Fee is $450. All of our dogs will be microchipped.

We are a non profit no kill 501 (c)3 rescue. Please understand that we do our best to describe our dogs but often we rescue them with virtually no information about them and often our best educated guess can be challenging. Currently check or cash is preferred payment.

More about this rescue

Almost Home Dog Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill, foster-based, all volunteer rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilating dogs at risk and in danger of an untimely death. We bring dogs to us from rural areas where there is a large stray population, spays are infrequently done and pounds and shelters are high kill when they fill up. Adoption rates are high in our area.
