Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bosun is a deeply affectionate, steady-energy companion who wants one thing: be near his person and know the rhythm of the day. Once he understands the routine, he settles beautifully and becomes a loyal, calm “by-your-side” dog.
He’s currently in a board-and-train with Koru K9 focused on confidence, structure, and separation-anxiety skills. Highlights from training:
1) Group “place” sessions near other dogs: relaxing is the job (up to 1 hour with minimal breaks)
2) Impulse control improved significantly; practicing focus around big distractions (dog-park outside only)
3) Field trips underway to generalize obedience, heeling, and engagement
4) Recall training starting (including e-collar foundation for reliable off-leash recall)
5) Doing great with routine: eating/drinking/potty normal; crate behavior strong
Bosun loves warmth (he’ll sunbathe like it’s his full-time job), dislikes rain, and is impressively quiet — he rarely barks, except a quick “someone’s here” for delivery drivers.
