Blitzen is a sweet boy who’s looking for a calm, adults-only home where he can feel safe and understood. He can get a bit hyper-focused when he’s overwhelmed and may nip, so a kid-free environment is the best match for him.
He’s also very alert — he barks at just about everything — and the outside world can be scary for him. Outside his kennel he’s nervous, and he did try to dart out when heading for a walk, so he’ll need someone who can guide him with consistency and help keep him safe. He also loves to bark at cars and has a strong urge to chase them, so secure management outdoors is important.
Once he settles, Blitzen shows his soft side. He loves cuddles, pets, and being close to his person. On walks, he starts out excited, but with a little firmness and calm direction, he’s able to relax and walk more comfortably.
Blitzen will thrive with someone patient who enjoys helping a nervous pup gain confidence — and who appreciates a cuddly companion once he feels at home.
