Rye is about 1.5 years old. He was taken in after his original owner decided to get rid of him. He has completed the PetSmart Beginner Obedience classes with the foster parent, and is doing some agility training. He was treated for heartworm by the shelter the original owner adopted him from and has a clean bill of health.
Rye is affectionate but can be nervous, and he has separation anxiety. The foster parent has been working on kennel training him, but he has broken out of his kennels, and broke 2 teeth in the process. The broken teeth may need vet care, but they don't bother him in any way or prevent him from eating or playing.
Rye is currently eating PetSmart Authority Sensitive Stomach dog food. He has scheduled feedings rather than free feeding. He is food and praise motivated, and highly toy motivated. He was somewhat toy-aggressive prior to coming to his current foster parent, but she has worked consistently to train the behavior away and has made great progress.
No cats.
