My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Wolfwalker. I’m a quiet, gentle soul who likes to take life at my own pace. When I first meet new people, I can be a little cautious—just making sure everything is safe. But give me a bit of time and patience, and you’ll start to see my true nature: loyal, calm, and surprisingly brave once I feel at home. If you’re looking for a thoughtful, steady companion, I think we could be a perfect match. The longer I’ve been at the shelter, the more confident I’ve become. I’ve even started walking up to strangers to ask for pets—and yes, I’ll let out a tiny meow to say hello. I’m friendlier and more relaxed every day. Not that I want to stay here forever—but I hope it shows you how, with time and love, I can become a wonderful addition to any home. If you’re ready for a loyal, warmhearted companion who just needs a chance to shine, apply for me today!

More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City.
