Meet Jay a gentle, resilient young Doberman who survived heartbreaking neglect and is now discovering love for the very first time. Last weekend, in the middle of a huge storm, one of our incredible volunteers found Jay chained to a trailer in the pouring rain where he had been kept for months. Severely emaciated at only 53 lbs and desperately thirsty, Jay began drinking from every rain-filled container he could find the moment he was freed. This sweet one-year-old boy had clearly been deprived of even the most basic care. But despite everything hes endured, Jays spirit is nothing short of remarkable. He leans in softly for affection, grateful for every gentle touch. He plays beautifully with other dogs when introduced properly, enjoying tug-of-war, playful zooms, and the simple joy of companionship. Now safe in a warm home, Jay has been sleeping deeply, eating well, and slowly filling back out finally getting the care he deserved all along. Jay is tender, loving, and eager to bond with the person or family who will show him what forever love looks like.
