Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ginger Snap - Your new snuggle buddy!
This sweet pup is looking for a loving home where she can feel safe and adored. She’s 90% potty trained, great with kids, and knows basic commands like sit, down, and off.
She can be a little timid at first, but with patience and love, she truly blossoms into the most affectionate, gentle companion. Once she feels safe, she’s a total snuggler and loves being close to her people.
Great with kids
Loyal, cuddly, and well-mannered
Perfect for a calm, loving home
If you’re searching for a gentle soul who will bond deeply and bring so much love into your home, she might be the one!
Our standard adoption fee is $465. We offer a $15 discount for adopters who pay by cash or check, making the adoption fee $450.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal test, deworming, current on flea and tick preventative, and microchip.
To ensure the best match for both our dogs and adopters, we require a fully completed adoption application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with the entire household. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed.
Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption and does not obligate you to adopt; it simply allows us to begin the review process.
To request an application or for additional details, please email adopt@safehavendogsIL.org
Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to approve or decline any adoption application based on the best interest of the dog.

More about this rescue
We are a small 501 C3 nonprofit rescue located in Elburn, Illinois. In 2014, Safe Haven Dog Rescue became its own non-profit. We are licensed by the Illinois Agriculture Department.
The majority of our dogs and puppies are pulled from Kill Pounds and Shelters in Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, and Illinois. We also accept local medical cases as often as our finances will allow.
Please take a few moments to read the stories about the dogs and puppies we have available for adoption. We disclose everything we know about the dogs, sometimes we know a lot often we know only that they were strays, thrown away on the side of the road, in the woods, or found in abandoned houses.
While we don’t always know their past we are certain that their future is much brighter.
We hope that you and your family are part of the future…..
