My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Pipsqueak, a sweet 3 year old.  I was surrendered because my person thought I would thrive in a home without another cat.  I loved my person because I would be held and comforted when the other cat wasn’t nice to me.  And my person, surrendered me with my pretty pink crochet blanket to help me transition from home.  I’ll be honest, the transition isn’t easy but the cat cuddler volunteers are doing their best to make me feel comfortable (and my blankie helps).  I am seeking a home with no other cats and someone who will be patient to let me settle into their home and routine.  I’m living in the first cat condo you see on the right when you enter the cat adoption room.  I like it because I can look out the window all day to see the people (and dogs) coming in and out of the HAWS building but I’d rather be back in a loving home.  Could it be yours?  And are you willing to give me time and a chance to prove I am the perfect choice for you?  If so, please come meet me today.

We invite the public to join us in our cause to spread humane sentiments throughout our community for the betterment of animals and people alike.

Incorporated in 1965, HAWS has grown along with our community, evolving into a vibrant organization and a lively facility that is the #1 resource for pets and their people.
