My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gabby!

Gabby is a beautiful Basenji and Rat Terrier mix with rich chocolate-colored fur and matching chocolate eyes that instantly melt hearts. She is the perfect small size at under 15 pounds, but do not let that fool you. Gabby is fast, athletic, and full of personality.

Currently fostered on a farm with lots of dogs, Gabby has quickly made a name for herself as the fastest runner of the group. She loves to sprint, play chase, and stretch her legs, often turning playtime into what can only be described as a one-dog rodeo. One of her favorite pastimes is chasing the cows and “talking” to them, patiently waiting to hear them moo back.

Despite her playful, energetic side, Gabby is also sweet, affectionate, and enjoys being close to her people. She loves attention and gentle affection and is happiest when she can balance activity with connection.

Treats are the fastest way to Gabby’s heart. She is happily not picky and will gladly accept anything from high-value liver treats to simple dog bones. She also enjoys playing with other dogs, engaging with her toys, and being part of an active household.

Gabby would thrive in an active family or a home that enjoys movement, play, and time outdoors. She is looking for people who will appreciate her athleticism, affectionate nature, and wonderfully entertaining personality. If you are searching for a small dog with big energy and an even bigger heart, Gabby may be the perfect match.
