These two cutie patooties are looking for their next home to call theirs! Bella and Laurel lived together before they arrived to the shelter, and would like to go home as a pair. Rats are truly special little animals that can make really wonderful pets. Not only are rats super clean, but are also very intelligent! These girlies are both litter box trained, and keep their space very tidy. Though they are super friendly and curious, they will need time to get used to their person, and used to being handled. Laurel is the more confident of the pair, and is more accepting to handling. Bella is going to need to trust her person and may need more time before she is comfortable for pets or handling in general. Yummy treats are going to be the way to steal a rats heart, and get them more hand tamed. Once that steps complete is when you really get to have fun with these guys, and they get to have fun! That means out of cage enrichment time in a safe contained area, where they can get good mental stimulation, and physical activity. Come stop by Dedham if you have a spot in your heart for not one but two furry rat friends!
Laurel is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.
For more information on Laurel or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
