Animal Profile: Perla is a 3-year-old, 66-pound Shepherd mix. Sadly, Perla found herself at risk in an overcrowded shelter simply because there wasn’t enough space. But despite it all, she never lost her happy spirit or wagging tail. Her playful energy and friendly nature shine through in every interaction.
Foster Update: Perla is extremely sweet and human focused! She is also a quick learner and quite intelligent. We are working on the basics since she came to us with zero training. She has already learned ‘crate,’ ‘sit,’ and ‘down,’ and we are working on ‘come.’ Perla is learning about toys and has a lamb she will squeak a bit, but she is more interested in people and treats for now. She is crate trained and able to hang out all day laying around the house though she would prefer more interaction/activity. Sometimes she will get up and nudge me to tell me she is bored while I'm working. Perla loves pets, snuggles, and attention of any kind. She would love an active family who is interested in continuing her early progress with training, and taking her on some fun NW adventures.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
