Mitzi is a 7-month-old, 7.4lb Silky Terrier miracle who survived being discarded due to a treatable heart defect. After successful PDA surgery in September, she’s healed beautifully and thriving. Mitzi is playful, affectionate, incredibly intelligent, and absolutely adores other small dogs—she must have a playful canine companion in her forever home. She’s doing wonderfully with her potty training, loves enrichment toys, snuggles on tummies at night, gives joyful morning kisses, and brings laughter to every corner of the house. Mitzi is gentle, sweet, expressive, curious, and happiest when she’s exploring life right alongside the people (and dog friends!) she loves. She needs a calm home with lots of inclusion, love, and another dog who matches her spirited play.

Browse available pets on our website, (adoption fees listed) and fill out an adoption application. A team member will call you to discuss your needs, and any specific pets you might be interested in. We will have you do a meet and greet with the animal(s), and arrange for a P.R.A.R. representative to complete a home check. Once the home check is complete and passed the adoption contract will be completed and arrangements will be made to transfer your new baby into their new home!
