Louie is an easy-going companion in a perfect 15lb curly grey package. He is happy and full of life. He loves to curl-up next to you on the couch and jumps for joy when excited. He gets along with both dogs and cats. He loves to patrol passersby from his perch, a chair overlooking the window - but doesn't bark at anyone. He is very intelligent and has picked up good manners quickly including ignoring other dogs on walks - we have worked on leash reactivity. He's highly treat motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement training.
Louie is an active little dude who wakes up with a pep in his step, off to find a toy first thing. He enjoys a long morning walk, eats very well and then settiles in for a nap. Due to his heart condition and collapsed trachea, he coughs about once per day 5-10 seconds but it's well controlled with meds. He needs a harness that won't pull on this upper chest/neck and most step-ins work well. Each adoption begins with a 2 week trial sniffing period to make sure its a good fit before finalizing the adoption!

Our initial adoption process begins with an application of interest, a phone interview, an interact with all family members including pets, and a home check. Among completion and review of those areas then an adoption will be finalized with an adoption agreement, adoption fee, and followed up with a check-in within 2 weeks of bringing the new pet home.
