Meet Winter: A Tiny Soul Ready to Bloom With Love
This little beauty is Winter, a fragile Chihuahua with the softness of a snowflake and a spirit quietly waiting to be nurtured back into fullness. She may be small, but her heart has already shown remarkable courage. After surviving neglect, Winter arrived underweight and in need of care. She has since had a much-needed dental cleaning, where eight painful teeth were removed. Although her previous owner claimed she was five, our vet feels she is likely closer to eight years old, yet her spark is unmistakable. As her health improves and her body fills out, her true age may reveal itself more clearly. Now weighing just a few pounds, she is gradually building muscle and gaining strength. With the support of high-quality cooked or canned food and gentle, consistent care, she is steadily blossoming.
Her joy shows up in the sweetest ways, a soft fan-tail swish, tiny pounces of excitement on her front paws, and the way she lovingly shadows her foster parents around the home as her daily “fitness routine.” Winter will thrive in a quiet, adult home where she can be cherished, protected, and spoiled with all the comfort she missed before. She’s delicate, sensitive, and deeply loving, a little winter breeze looking for a warm heart to call home.

This dog's adoption fee is $500 to go towards their vetting (vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). *All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so.) They are treated as family pets while in our care. * All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble; our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health. .*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting, including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming. Dogs in need of specialized medicine will be seen by specialists, such as full cardiac workups, and ophthalmologist visits, all suspicious lumps and bumps are biopsied, and every medical need is transparent to potential adopters. *Once you adopt from Get a Life Pet Rescue, you become part of our compassionate family, and we are here for you if a problem with your precious dog arises.
