Meet the Pet

meet and greet with available pet, will all family members and family pets already in home.

2.

Interview

provide renter landlord verification if needed, ensure pet is a good comfortable safe fit for the home.

3.

Pay Fee

pay any adoption fees, cash or check. animal must be altered before going home, chipped and vaccines done.

4.

Take the Pet Home

pick up pet after surgery if not already altered, given a going home instructions, adoption contract and goodie bag.

we are committed to finding loving permanent homes for the animals in our shelter while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. We work with many different 501c3 rescues all throughout the US.

We have a brand-new state of the art all indoor facility for our shelter pets.

More about this shelter

Porterville Animal Shelter was established in 2009 providing Animal Control Services to the City of Porterville. We are a team of 1 Animal Control Supervisor, 3 Cso Field Officers, 1 Live release coordinator and 4 part-time kennel tech employees. We welcome donations for the benefit of the animals (money, food, cleaning supplies, blankets, dog bowls and travel carriers).
