My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾💛 Meet Doongi — the sweetest social butterfly! 💛🐾
A gentle boy who loves EVERYONE — people and dogs alike 🥹💕

📌 Basic Info • 🐶 Name: Doongi
• 🎂 Age: 5 months
• ♂️ Gender: Male (neutering scheduled)
• ⚖️ Weight: 15kg (~33 lbs)
• 🐕 Breed: Jindo + Retriever mix
• 🎨 Color: Cream beige

🩺 Health • No medical issues

💛 Personality & Social Skills If you’re looking for a friendly family dog, Doongi is the one.
He LOVES everyone — women, men, kids, and new people.
He is affectionate, calm, and always happy to be near his humans. 🥰

🐶 With other dogs Doongi wants to greet and play with dogs of all sizes.
He gets along beautifully with dogs he lives with —
he would be happiest in a home with another dog or one that allows frequent dog socializing 🐾

🐱 With cats He gets excited around cats → a cat-free home is recommended

🚶‍♂️ Walks • Follows the handler well
• No reactivity to people or dogs
• Wants to greet every dog he sees 🤎
• Can try to bolt when startled by loud/sudden noises → double-leash/safety awareness needed at first

🏡 Home Life • No destructive behavior
• Quiet (rarely barks)
• No separation anxiety
• Loves being touched 🥰
• Sleeps comfortably in the car — no motion sickness 🚗💤
• Smart + food-motivated → learns quickly with training

🚽 Potty • Poops 100% outside
• Prefers outdoor urination — inside accidents may happen when excited or scared (still learning)

📖 Rescue Story Doongi was born to a Retriever who lived chained at a countryside factory.
Without proper care, he roamed around for survival until he was finally rescued.
Despite his hard beginning, he is full of love and trust —
all he’s waiting for now is a forever family to call his own 🌈
Please help us make sure his next chapter is full of safety, comfort, and love 🧡

Additional adoption info

Post-Adoption Support and Check-Ins
After your dog has settled in, we will periodically check in with you to ensure the adjustment process is going smoothly. This is a time to discuss your dog’s progress and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Our team is always here to provide guidance as needed during the transition to your new life together. All adopters must agree to provide periodic update of the adopted pet. Instagram account is highly recommended. All adopters must sign up for GPS tracker for 6 months to avoid losing pets.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized. Therefore, we can not provide the "meet and greet." Multiple video clips will be provided and we will help you walk through the steps to reassure the adopted dog and the adopter are the best match for each other. Some dogs are available for meet and greet if the dogs are fostered in the US.
