My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bush's Baked Beans is 6-yo with a wonderfully calm, gentle nature who's ready to bring peace and companionship into his new home. He has excellent potty habits, walks politely without pulling, and stays relaxed and non-reactive when passing other dogs on walks. While he's great around them in public, Bush's Baked Beans isn't at his best living or playing with other dogs, so he'll thrive as the only pet in the home.

Bush's Baked Beans is incredibly calm, quiet, and easygoing-truly the kind of dog whose presence immediately softens the room. He also meets new people with the same mellow, steady energy. Bush's Baked Beans is looking for a peaceful home where he can enjoy a steady routine, quiet companionship, and all the love you've got. He'll be happiest as the only dog, soaking up your attention and enjoying life at a gentle pace.

If you're looking for a calm, kindhearted companion with wonderful manners and an easygoing spirit, Bush's Baked Beans might just be the perfect match.
Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment.

If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our volunteer matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Bush's Baked Beans, 264977".

He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
