"Hey Spike, what do you like?" Turns out, she loves cheek and chin rubs, head scratches, and head bumps. Spike is a senior girl with a lot of love to give. She likes exploring her space but also likes having her human around. Strange as it sounds, her previous caretaker also told us she likes listening to Rod Stewart...though it was Tom Petty who wrote a song about Spike.
Spike came to us when her caretaker was moving and could not take Spike. It took her some time to settle in, but once she felt safe, she started showing her affectionate side and curious personality.
Spike qualifies for our Senior for Seniors Program! If you are 65+ and adopt a cat 10+, the adoption fee is waived along with some other incredible perks!
If you have any questions about Spike, please email cats@rispca.org

If your application is selected, you will be contacted and asked if you would like to schedule a meet & greet. Because of the volume of applications we receive, sometimes we can only respond to the selected applicant. You are always welcome to contact us anytime about the status of your application at adoption@rispca.com.
