My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey! My new name is Toasty, I forgot what my old name was šŸ˜…. My current daddy and mommy found me in the parking lot of their work back in August. I was in really bad shape. Since they found me, I’ve been doing so well! The vet thinks I am around 8-10 years old. I have heartworms and I was so weak when they found me, we have been doing the slow kill method with heartworm prevention. My kidney function has returned to normal and other than the heartworms, my thyroid is a little low, but the vet thinks that will get better with the heartworms. I’m nervous around strangers, but I warm up to people easily, I’m really laid back, calm, and I love to cuddle and go for walks. I am an escape artist! I can climb a chain link fence and I can’t be contained by a crate, and I’m a pro at opening an unlocked screen door. I’m super good with kids! Cats are cool but sometimes I can get a little overexcited with them. My daddy is really sad, but he says this is for the best. I do well with other dogs.
