My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there! I’m a friendly, happy, funny, good-natured Pitbull mix named Chopper, and sadly, I look like a bait dog. I am about 8 months old, 46 lbs, and I was dumped in the median of a busy highway in San Antonio, Texas. It was terrifying to say the least, and bless my lucky stars when a very brave lady dodged traffic to save me. I was thrilled to see her and let her carry me back to her car, and now she is my foster mom! Yep, I wasn't chipped or wearing a collar, so 4 Little Paws Rescue took me in. I am now neutered, chipped, and vaccinated, and the scars on my face are starting to fade.

You should know that I am a really nice boy with a medium energy level, sweet and loving, and a bit of a clumsy goofball as I go through my youthful growth spurt, LOL! I love all people, young and old, and I get along great with other dogs despite my scars. I’m a lover, not a fighter, and I’m not the type to defend myself. I just want cuddles and kisses, playmates, doggy toys, and doggy treats. I love going for walks and road trips. I’m housebroken, only bark when I need to alert you, and I am a very good listener, giving you my full attention when spoken to. I’m looking forward to being an East Coast boy, proudly sporting a really nice collar and tag with my name and your phone number, hint hint!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
