My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Information: Petunia is an estimated 7-month old female pittie mix currently weighing approximately 40 lbs. According to our rescue partner in Tulsa, OK, Petunia is the sweetest, happy go lucky girl that gets along great with everybody. She is submissive, playful and curious. She was found wandering the streets as a stray. After no one claimed her, she went into a foster home and now will be joining us here in the Seattle area.

Foster Profile:  Petunia is doing very well! She was a little nervous in the first few days, but is settling beautifully into family life now. She adores our kids, 7 and 14, but is a bit of a jumper so we are working on calmer greetings. She is just so excited to see them and they LOVE her too! Petunia is potty trained and is making progress on crate training. She definitely prefers her dog bed and being close to her people, but will settle in her crate after a few whines and complaints. Petunia walks well on leash and is very friendly meeting new people when we are out and about. At home she is a little cautious at first.

Petunia will thrive in an active home. She has a lot of energy and would make a great running partner, once she is old enough, and/ or hiking buddy. When it’s time to calm down she loves her dog bed or sofa time with the family. For a young dog she can settle remarkably well. Petunia loves car rides with the whole family and is learning that the car brings her to fun places. She knows to sit when asked and we are working on leave it, especially for squirrels on walks, and down. Petunia will make a great addition for anyone who is looking for a fun and very sweet companion!

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
